When you are in your own ways, and your own thoughts you are actually covered in confusion and don’t even realize it. Only the Holy Spirit can reveal God’s truth to us spiritually as He becomes Lord of our lives. Jeremiah 13:11 explains that as a man’s garment cleaves (adheres to, joins to) to himself so has God caused us to cleave to Him this also parallels the mystery of the gospel revealed in Colossians 1:27~”Christ within us.” Can you easily see how powerful this revelation is? You wonder or strive for God to answer your prayers or to hear them, but the amazing thing is that when you turn to Him within you, in your mind, your thoughts and speak to Him personally, spend alone time with Him, read the Bible with Him, then He will make Himself known to you and He molds you to become His covering! Of course He will hear you, but may you stop wanting your prayers answered in “your way.” Stop thinking that He doesn’t hear you because you don’t immediately see a result, stop focusing on your lack, need, or prayer and focus on Jesus! He heard you, in fact the Holy Spirit guides your prayers & corrects them when they are wrong! The problem is you want your way, not His way! A seemingly unanswered prayer has actually been answered you just were not able to hear, nor understand it. Turn to Him and want Him more than your “understanding” remember Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” What a beautiful, amazing, powerful concept! God, Creator of ALL things, desires to be connected with you intimately & privately that He wants you to cover Him in this world so that His Power and Light will shine through you~what an HONOR He has bestowed upon us!
