Sometimes quietness is wrongly looked at as a lack of passion, or a lack of drive, or even a lack of reliability. But we all need rest, and as our obedience remains steadfast in Him, Abba will see that we experience it, regardless if we think we need it or not. There is a very breathtaking and deeply nourishing aspect of being quiet in Him that profoundly exists as He dims our outer movements and intensely strokes our passion within. It is important to understand that as we obediently still our minds as He leads us to, the Holy Spirit will also sometimes cease to vibrantly lead us into creating the work we do with Abba, and will also quiet our ears, and fill our eyes as our Shepherd stills before us for as long as Abba needs us to. Quietness in Him deepens our commitment, builds up our passion, and strengthens our confidence. He leads us and quiets us, which not only strengthens the inspirational impact we may have on others through Him, but it is also more importantly to help sustain us through every aspect of this life and beyond. ‘For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.’ (Isaiah 30:15) Praise King Jesus, we no longer live to survive, but we cling to Jesus to vibrantly live!
