Our Abba is the Creator of all things, including time. Yes, for a moment, allow that simple thought to truly sink in. Now think about all of the times we have wrongly tried to see Him through time, or have used time as an excuse, or even a way where we have yelled at Him because we didn’t think there was “enough time.” How many times had we wrongly thought time was indeed running out, or we wrongly thought we needed something right then and there, instead of when we really needed it? Time, a speck of dust, a pebble, a boulder, a mountain, and sometimes even represented by a 1,000 stinging arrows. But now, as we guide ourselves to focus only on Jesus, the Holy Spirit reveals a rich, deeply loving freedom involved within truthfully looking at time as it is meant to be looked at. God created time. God, the Great I Am, establishes the time, directs it, lengthens it and even shortens it. Time was created by Him. ‘Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. The eyes of all wait upon Thee; and Thou givest them their meat in due season. Thou openest thine Hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.’ (Psalm 145:13-16) Praise King Jesus, we must always first look to Him, our limitless Creator, for the time, and not the other way around which wrongly nourishes dangerous limitations. Time was created by Him. ‘The Lord is my Light and my Salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?’ (Psalm 27:1) It is His creation, His time, and never ours.
