When we are Looking towards tomorrow and wondering what it may bring we are actually looking towards the darkness, and not to Jesus. That may sound so profound, or so crazy to you, but think about it. More often than not when you become more attuned to what tomorrow “might” bring (because only God knows for sure): anxiety forms, a restlessness develops, weakness arises, doubt sets in, and worries begin to infiltrate our lives robbing us of the current moment. If your current moment is bad, then take this opportunity to self-discipline yourself to look inwardly to Jesus and simply rejoice because you are blessed to be able to dwell in His presence while the Holy Spirit reminds you that “greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” He will cultivate patience, strength, endurance, and trust within you that is deeply embedded in His love because you realize that Jesus is right there with you experiencing your hardship as well, although He is smiling and saying, Isaiah 41:13. ‘For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. Going through your problems with Him also gives Him an opportunity to rise up and perfect your weakness with His strength. However, if nothing is currently wrong, rejoice and continue to actively acknowledge Him. This allows the Holy Spirit to strengthen your connection with Him, build a confidence in you that is deeply rooted in His perfect love that firmly casts out all fear or worry, and firmly establishes His place in your life so that He, Himself, becomes your shield and is firmly in place should those wayward spirits begin to attack. Remember, your loving Heavenly Father, the Creator of all things, is embedded deeply within you and is carefully instructing you to cling only to Jesus so that you may actively dwell in His love and stay connected to Him, your Divine Source for all things. May you work on training your mind to look only as far as Jesus…
