Obedient faith, at the crucial point of decision:  I hold back although it looks safe and good to step forward; not because I can see your victory on the other side, nor intimately know of it, but only because you have not stepped forward and are instead, privately holding me back.  I step forward although it looks unsafe and dangerous to step forward; not because I can see your victory on the other side, nor intimately know of it, but only because you have stepped forward and are privately encouraging me to.  You have taught me to look forward to Abba’s personal discipline geared specifically for me, to embrace full obedience to Him, and to trust His guidance over my perceptions. So regardless of what I perceive, I will continue to stand and wait for your private instruction, so that I may step forward in you, my Shepherd, my Jesus, because I refuse to go where you are not.
