Fully worshiping Abba strengthens you even more while feeding you a strong desire to self-discipline and control your thoughts and mind. It is a powerful choice only you can make, and a healthy decision that must be made on a daily basis, which allows the Holy Spirit to further sanctify your mind while it also deepens your relationship with Jesus. Some steps in controlling your mind: you think on Him more than anything else; you look to Him, within, before over-analyzing, before being caught up in worry and fear (which Abba fiercely commands us not to), before deciding, before wrongly pointing fingers, and before trying to figure it all out, or wrongly trying to figure others out, and before you wrongly anticipate your next moment. These decisions and steps then become a vital, daily exercise that the Holy Spirit uses to instruct you in, which actually positions you to receive even more instruction from Him. And then during stronger and more overwhelming experiences your discipline is exercised and tried even more, which allows the Holy Spirit to bring your mind even deeper under His authority. The soothing balm, the healing herbs, and the encouraging Words are able to more fully be fed to you while He is Lord of your mind. Receiving the Lord’s Divine nourishment then prepares and feeds us for whatever we may unknowingly face tomorrow. It is not designed to strengthen us, but more importantly strengthen our connection to our Shepherd, who painstakingly shepherds us through all things, while our spiritual eyes clearly see Philippians 4:11-13~ ‘Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.’
