Other people’s wrong free-will choices, along with other horrifying things, including illnesses, and other ailments that seem to slam against us in the flesh, or limit us, no longer have the effect they once did. Yes, we still feel the pain, heartache, loss, frustrations, mental struggle, and limited mobility, but our Lord intimately comforts us through that experience as we privately go only to Him. And these awful experiences only re-instills the truth, and reminders that we can only truly cling to Jesus, and should never cling to anyone, nor anything else in this world. As 2 Corinthians 4:18 states: ‘while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.’ Only Jesus can promise to never leave us, nor forsake us, no one, nor no other thing can promise that, and so we have made it our life’s choice to become more aware of Jesus than anything else. We consult with Him more than anyone else, and moment by moment we acknowledge Him, and because of that, we can better appreciate and cherish the things of the flesh, which He intently uses to manifest His blessings even more to us. Because only through Him can relationships, or blessings of this world, be fully enjoyed, which is another important reason why we can only turn to Him. Only He can truly comfort and prepare us when we do lose those relationships, or lose the things of the flesh that matter to us, so that we are not undone by it, nor completely devastated, because we intimately discover the truth that through Jesus, all things are truly possible, and we allow the Holy Spirit, the very breath of the Great I Am, to comfort us in how only He preciously can. Yes, we no longer fit in with the “natural” world, and yes, our thoughts and actions may be strange and abnormal, or considered impossible to most, but we have intimately discovered that praising and thanking the Lord through all things intimately opens us up, individually, to a new depth of Divine Love our Abba is achingly trying to fill us with, and spiritually show us. ‘Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.’ (Psalm 34:19) An overcomers’ life can only overcome this world when it is fully yielded, fully sacrificed, and fully embedded in Jesus, as His Sacrificial Blood fully coats us. Yes, our God is greater than all things!
