Under King Jesus’ reign, there is nothing in the flesh that helps, heals, nourishes, nor even fully strengthens us anymore. A tiny nudge of frustration rises, we immediately connect with Abba and He encourages us. A tiny rub of impatience brushes over us, we immediately connect with Him and He settles it down and strengthens us. A nauseous report from someone slams against us, we immediately connect with Him and He reminds us of His Truth, strengthens our stomach’s walls and leads us to His Word so that we may properly see. Our eyes see the devastating destructions rising up, we immediately connect with Him and He reminds us of His Sovereignty and His Good Plan. Our minds feel shaken, we immediately connect with Him and He steadies it, heals it, and nourishes it. Our hearts feel bruised and unsure, we immediately connect with Him and He holds it, heals it, and nourishes it. Our bodies feel tired and battered, we immediately connect with Him and He encompasses it, heals it, and nourishes it. We become exhausted and weak, we immediately connect with Him and He lovingly embraces us, heals us, and nourishes us. We are His and He is ours. Our breath, He provides; our bodies, He sustains; our minds, He healthily balances; our spirits, He nourishes. Moment by moment we experience things in the flesh, and moment by moment we choose to turn the experience into the spirit, from where comes our Only Hope. We can only give what we have received, which allows us to unconditionally love those we come into contact with, for a mind set on the flesh is death, but a mind set on the Spirit is life and peace.
