Those that humble themselves before God will be exalted by Him. 1 Samuel 2:2-4; 6-8, ‘There is none Holy as the Lord: for there is none beside Thee: neither is there any rock like our God. Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed. The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength. The Lord killeth, and maketh alive: He bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up. The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: He bringeth low, and lifteth up. He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the Throne of Glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and He hath set the world upon them.’ Everything we go through must be intimately and actively filtered through the lens of King Jesus. Even the very foundation of the beloved story of Job, intimately turns our focus to be concentrated on the sovereignty of God. Only our King Shepherd can intimately reveal Abba’s uniquely Divine purpose for all things we go through, and only He can fully cleanse, heal and set to right that which is wrong within our lives. The Holy Spirit led King Jesus into the wilderness for forty days to battle the devil, not to ensure that we will not have any hardships, nor for us to never have a similar battle, but that through King Jesus we are able to intimately see the Divine strength that can only come from the Great I Am as we intimately go through hardships and battles with Him. Only He can victoriously strengthen and Shepherd us through this world, while His Truth becomes ingrained within us and flows forth from us as He conforms us to His Truth. Those that humble themselves before God will be exalted by Him. Becoming humble and continually staying humble is only possible as we become fully dependent on Abba, and fully independent from the world. For as King Jesus stood before Pilot, our Savior revealed that He was not a victim of Pilot, nor of the people screaming for Him to be crucified, but that Pilot only had momentarily control over Him because it was given to him by His Abba, for only God is good. As children of the Most High God, through King Jesus’ lens we see that it is not the enemy that is actively reigning, nor him who has access into our lives, but it is God who has given him the access and it is only God Who can intimately protect, heal, sustain, or reveal to us how that access may be closed within our lives, further ensuring that all things we go through will remain steadfast within the will of God, for only God is good. As in Jacob, he wrestled with God and man, and overcame; but as a result, suffered an injury from the Lord and dealt with the painful limp for the remainder of his earthly walk. The painful limp became a unique reminder to Jacob that only through full dependency on God would he be able to victoriously walk and fulfill Abba’s calling on his life, for only God is good. We are His vessel to be intimately cleansed and molded within His Hands as only He sees fit! Praise King Jesus: ‘The Lord doth build up Jerusalem: He gathereth together the outcasts of Israel. He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. He telleth the number of the stars; He calleth them all by their names. Great is our Lord, and of great power: His understanding is infinite. The Lord lifteth up the humble: He casteth the wicked down to the ground. Sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God. Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains. He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry. He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: He taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.’ (Psalm 147:62-10) His protection is great concerning us, His beloved children, and we are not victims, but His overcomers, His beloved victors.
