Jesus isn’t in the building of the church, He is intimately within you: and there are a lot of Bible verses and depths of messages to attest to this. But have you ever been to a church service where they “invite” the Lord into their presence, or say “let us come into the presence of the Lord,” or something similar to that? I am not downing this, and I can see the need for allowing the service to become more formal and on Holy Ground, but I do have to admit I don’t like it because aren’t we always to be living in His presence? Several years ago, after the Lord had guided me into reading Brother Lawrence’s Practicing the Presence of God and after fully understanding that although He is always right there with me, the relationship is not automatic and it is still ultimately my choice to actively acknowledge Him, I firmly decided I’m not leaving His presence ever again because there is no possible way for me to victoriously live here in this world full of hope, joy, peace, and strength without doing so. And we don’t have to because He has promised to never leave us, nor forsake us. I’m not perfect, nor will I ever be, and I wholeheartedly rejoice in that because I am intimately connected to the One who is and the One who is victoriously above and beyond anything I can physically see, the One who heals my thoughts, ways, and mistakes. We, as Christians, should always be actively dwelling and conversing with Jesus, as the Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Hey it is in the word: “Christians” “followers of Christ” you cannot follow someone that you are not continuously acknowledging, nor paying attention to. We have to actively stay connected to Jesus in order to be able to speak life into situations instead of death (separation), or to be able to perform miracles, and to respond to others in the way they need us to, or to be able to bring our children up in the way they should go because the Lord raises them through us, and to be able to finally be the light in the darkening world because His Light shines through us! So stop trying to do it all yourself and staying on the surface. Move on into a deeper fellowship with the Lord and allow yourself to become the overcomer He desperately wants to mold you into being because you have personally discovered He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and you follow Him.
