I love this new series and I love that it brings in characters from the Protection series. As I was reading this book the first time (yes, I have now read this one more than once too), when I was about halfway through the book I could just hear Jacey calling Raffaele by “Rafe” and then when she finally did a few chapters later I was like, “I knew it was coming!” Love the way you write your characters and their conversations. Their conversations and especially their prayers are like you are there listening in or a part of it. A lot of other authors usually put something like “then they prayed” or “then they called out to God,” but you put a lot of depth into the characters and their prayers. I love reading the prayers especially because so many times they echo my own or speak to me of a something I know God wants to bring me through or heal in me.

Oh Kimberlee, I read your note right away, and I couldn’t respond, I was so amazed by your words, and the description in how you see the style of writing the Lord has taught me to write. I could never explain to you how much it means, it took me a while to respond because I was so overwhelmed by it and fell to my knees in thankfulness. The Lord’s timing, in how He led you to type that and speak to me personally about that is so amazing and perfect! I surely needed the encouragement you gifted me with! And I LOVE how the Lord whispered ahead of time to you that she would call him Rafe, in fact that was one of the very first and only paragraphs that was written over a year ago!!! :) Which speaks volumes that you specifically mentioned it! And yes, Lol, I did love her sassiness, too! Raffaele needs that! xoxo
